Cookie policy
Last updated: 2026-08-10
This cookie policy explains how Mind Guard 365 uses cookies and similar technologies on the marketing website at mindguard365.com (the “Site”). It sits alongside our privacy policy and should be read with it. The Mind Guard 365 mobile app does not use browser cookies; see the privacy policy for how the app handles diagnostics and analytics.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website can store on your device so that certain features work correctly and so that we can measure how the Site is used. Similar technologies include local storage in your browser and pixel tags. Where we mention “cookies” in this policy we mean cookies and these similar technologies together.
2. The categories of cookies we use
We group cookies into two categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies. These are needed for the Site to work. They cannot be turned off in our consent tool because the Site does not function without them. Examples include cookies that remember your cookie choice so we do not ask you again on every page, and CDN or hosting cookies used to route requests securely to our infrastructure.
- Analytics cookies. These help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics (GA4) with Google Consent Mode. Analytics cookies are only set after you accept them in the banner. Until you accept, Google Analytics runs in a cookieless mode that does not store identifiers on your device.
We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies on the Site. We do not use social media tracking pixels. If we ever add another category we will update this policy first and, where required, ask you for consent.
3. The specific cookies we may set
The table below lists the specific cookies you may see. Third-party cookies are only set once you accept analytics.
| Cookie name | Category | Provider | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
mg-consent-v1 | Strictly necessary | Mind Guard 365 (local storage) | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. | Until you clear browser storage |
_ga | Analytics | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors for aggregate reporting. | Up to 2 years |
_ga_<property> | Analytics | Google Analytics | Maintains session state for the specific GA4 property. | Up to 2 years |
Google may set additional cookies on its own domains when you interact with Google services embedded on the Site. Those cookies are governed by Google's cookie policy.
4. Google Consent Mode default state
We use Google Consent Mode v2. The default state for analytics storage is denied. This means Google Analytics is loaded on the Site but cannot store identifiers on your device unless you accept analytics in the consent banner. If you accept, we update the consent signal to granted and Google Analytics starts using cookies as described above. If you reject, or ignore the banner, Google Analytics continues in cookieless mode.
5. How to change your cookie choice
You can change your choice at any time using the button in the footer of every page, or the button below. Clicking it re-opens the banner. Your new choice replaces the previous one.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. See aboutcookies.org for step-by-step instructions for each major browser.
6. Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of UK PECR strict necessity. Analytics cookies are only set with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
